WHICH COURSE?

Most importantly, you must have decided on what area you want to study in, whether it be Stage Management or Musical Theatre. This generally goes without saying, but you must be fully aware and understand that you could be studying in your chosen field for up to 3 years, depending on which course you take. If you make a commitment early on and choose to break out, you will be wasting a lot of expense. You should weigh up the pros and cons of each course and area and see which one is right for you. It may be a difficult choice if you are torn between two, but no one ever said drama school was going to be easy.

It is important to be realistic with your applications. As well as thinking ‘this is the school for me’, you must also consider distance, travel expense and accommodation; there are many factors outside of your course that will affect your education, and you must be prepared for or, at the very least, be aware of them all. Like your course options, you need to weigh up the pros and cons of each school and find the one that is right for you.
